Voting for Town Officials Saturday, March 16, 8am-2pm

Nomination Papers will be available by Friday, December 7, 2018 and

returned by Wednesday, January 16, 2019 by 3pm.

Selectman, Assessor, Overseer of the Poor………………………………….3 year term

Deadline for Budget Requests, Warrant Articles, and Reports for the Annual Town Report MUST be submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than Monday, December 31, 2018 at 3pm. All persons wishing to serve on the Budget Committee please contact the Town Office by December 31st.

Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes due by December 31, 2018. Interest at 7% charged after that date.

Dog Licenses are due January 1, 2019 for all dogs 6 month and older. Please bring Rabies Certificate & Neutering Certificate (if applicable). You may NOW register your dog on-line at https://www.maine.gov/online/dog_license. Please select the town of Cornish. You can join us at the Rabies Clinic on Sat., Dec. 8, 10am-noon at Parsonsfield Town Office (see separate ad). A late fee of $25. will be charged starting February 1st 2019.

WINTER PLOWING * Please keep roads clear of vehicles! Mail and newspaper boxes must have at least 43” clearance, be visible and clear of snow. The Town is not responsible for damage to mail or newspaper boxes. Per Title 29-A MRS 2396 (4)A person cannot place or allow to remain on a public way snow or slush that has not accumulated there naturally.” NO SNOW can be plowed or left in or across the roadway. NO VEHICLES are to be parked on streets. IMPORTANT! Any vehicle parking in the way of plowing will be TOWED AT OWNERS EXPENSE.
